For this project I want to collaborate with Naomi Farmer who I have been working with alongside during the summer as a stylist duo for freelance photographers.
We found that we worked very well together and that by working together would enable us to really push ourselves forward in Art Direction as we would double our work and therefore outcome.
We therefore decided to take our own personal philosophy and link up the elements together which were similar.
From our individual design philosophy we could clearly see which subjects we had in common. Something in particular that stood out to us was the theme 'childhood' in particular childhood stories.
We therefore decided to look into Alice in Wonderland, as this is very connected to Naomi being from Oxford. However, this has been done numerous amounts of time so we want to try and incorporate the theme without it noticeably being 'Alice'. By doing this we hope to take it as a basis of research to work from. For example when the book was written and what they were wearing at that time.
Taking the characters and developing them such as tweedledee and tweedledum and considering a twin/mirror image shoot.
We also looked at what we wanted to acheive from this shoot together and looking at our portfolio we both felt that it lacked in a Men's wear shoot.
Fashion film is really big at the moment so maybe we could incorporate a film or do a music video under our theme.
