Looking at the them of fairy tales with a darker edge I decided to watch Pan's Labyrinth. A story about a young girl escaping to a fantasy world. I love this film and the characters are defiantly slightly twisted. I think the main character that stood out to me was the monster who used eyes in his hands to see. This is truly terrifying and yet so believable.
I decided to take this as inspiration and work on applying it. In these images I just cut out some eyes from magazines then attached them with a bit of sticky tape. Despite the very cut and paste type application I think it works really well and would perhaps work if I applied this to the palms of long gloves.

I think for my shoot I would like to have slightly surreal elements which isn't very noticeable at first. I like the idea of drawing the viewer into the picture and that the more they look at it the more interesting the image gets.
